AAG 2025

Call for Papers

Deadline: 15 June 2025

AAG is now accepting submissions for its 2025 session! We aim at connecting researchers from architectural and engineering practices, academia and industry. AAG has become a reference both in research and in practice and is supported by the direct participation of the most renowned architectural design and engineering offices along with research laboratories.

All papers must be original, written in English, and not simultaneously submitted to another journal or conference. We encourage papers that make original and impactful contributions to the field of architectural geometry from the perspective of design, engineering, manufacturing, computing, or a combination of these disciplines.

Papers should follow a standard research paper structure: Introduction, Literature Review, Methodology, Results, Conclusion, and should have a maximum of 4000 words and 10 figures (not including references).  Papers should be submitted as PDF documents without any identifying author names or affiliations.  There is no template document; but authors should prepare their papers with standard word processing tools.  The submission deadline for papers is 15 June 2025.

AAG is a place where research in practice and industry is valued as much as in academia. For submissions, we welcome case studies of built projects that make original and impactful contributions to the field of architectural geometry. We are aware that many geometrically complex projects with sophisticated workflows and feats of engineering are wrapped up in stories that rarely get told and we explicitly encourage submissions that detail these contributions. In these cases, ‘literature review’ can be a comparative review of industry current practice or methodology, which could include images and/or textual descriptions of relevant precedents.

Papers will be peer reviewed by an invited scientific committee of experts through a double blind process (both authors and reviewers are anonymous to each other).  Authors of papers selected to be presented at the conference will be notified by 15 August 2025, and final edits and formatting of papers will occur after that date.  Papers will be distributed via a digital proceedings at the conference and will be publicly available after the conference concludes.
